TINY Imogen Bolton has become Britain’s youngest double lung transplant recipient.

The desperate tot had the op at 5½ months old after she was diagnosed with a rare condition that strikes only 200 children a year worldwide.

Imogen was born late last year with Aveola Capilliary Dysplasia, meaning her lungs were not properly formed.

The condition normally kills within weeks.

But she battled on and, after she was accepted for the transplant list, surgeons inserted donor lungs just six inches long into her 9lb 15oz body.

Imogen spent a month in London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital in the spring before finally being sent home to mum Hayley and her husband Jason, 27, in Brighton, East Sussex.
